CIES PROPOSALS DUE AUGUST 26, 2025: You can read the full conference call on the CIES official website. The submission portal can be found at the All Academic site. Please make sure to pay attention to submission formats and requirements when submitting.
CIES REVIEW VOLUNTEERS: Please also consider signing up to be a reviewer for CIES proposals and volunteer as a discussant/ chair for panels. It is this early work that makes the conference run smoothly. We need you.

EMERGING SCHOLARS Research Summaries 2026 Issue 18(3). This issue shares thesis or dissertation work-in-progress or original research in 1,000 - 1,600 words. Submissions are DUE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2025
SUMMER 2026: Examining Race, Racism, and Racialization in the Internationalization of Higher Education from Global Perspectives. Guest Editors: Louise Michelle Vital, Jing Yu, Punita Lumb & Benjamin Denga. Papers will examine dynamics through which race and racism and the processes of racialization shape and are shaped by internationalization practices in higher education across global contexts. Center race as an analytical lens in examining internationalization practices. Proposals are DUE: JULY 11 2025
SUMMER 2027: International Faculty in East Asia: Evolving Roles, Identities and Realities. Guest Editors: Peter G. Ghazarian and Jonathan Damiani. The Special Issue examines the lived realities of international faculty working in East Asia and how they navigate, shape, and are shaped by institutional and cultural contexts in which they work. Proposals are DUE: DECEMBER 12, 2025
CALL FOR CHAPTERS: The upcoming edited book, Generative AI for Supporting International Student Well-Being in Higher Education (IGI Global), welcomes chapter proposals from current and former international students, as well as from researchers, instructors, and staff who have worked with this population.
